M.Sc. Information Technology | Industrial Automation & Software Development
I am an Information Technology professional currently pursuing my Master's in Information Technology (INFOTECH) at the University of Stuttgart. With a strong foundation in electronics engineering and hands-on experience in industrial automation, I specialize in bridging the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). My expertise spans from shop-floor digitization and smart factory solutions to cloud technologies and software development. I have worked extensively with Python, Julia, and various industrial protocols like OPC UA and MQTT, creating efficient data processing pipelines and implementing robust DevOps practices across automotive, manufacturing, and energy sectors.
My Professional Journey
Parker Hannifin
Learned OT-IT integration and built Power BI dashboards for factory digitization.
Fraunhofer IPA
Built end-to-end IoT pipelines using Docker, MQTT, and TIG stack for 5G factories.
IER, Uni Stuttgart
Developed ETL tools to transform energy data formats for modeling applications.
Mercedes-Benz AG
Created full-stack applications with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
plus10 GmbH
Automated PLC project integration into SaaS platforms for diverse manufacturers.
IKR, Uni Stuttgart
Learning Julia and SDN to bridge network intent frameworks with controllers.

My entry into industrial digitization! Started with a factory that wanted to replicate GE's digitization success in another plant. This is where I learned the fundamentals of OT-IT integration.
Starting Point: This was my first real exposure to industrial automation. I learned how data flows from machines through historians to business intelligence dashboards. Didn't work on many practical implementations but gained crucial foundational understanding.

Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft
Fraunhofer IPA, Stuttgart
Built an end-to-end analytics pipeline for a 5G smart factory project with multiple industry partners. This was where I truly learned the fundamentals of industrial IoT and containerized deployments.
Learning Journey: This role was transformative - I learned Docker containerization, MQTT protocols, time-series databases, and real-time data visualization all from scratch. Built production-ready dashboards for factory monitoring.

Studentische Hilfskraft
IER, University of Stuttgart
Engineered Python-based ETL tools for energy system analysis. Converted data from SEDOS format to TIMES format, making it compatible with VEDA modeling software for energy system research.
Focus: Pure data handling and processing - extracting energy data from various sources (Excel files, APIs) and transforming it into formats acceptable by specialized energy modeling software.
Mar 2024 - Aug 2024
Working Student - Data & Services
Mercedes-Benz AG, Stuttgart
Developed cloud DevOps solutions for the Mercedes Me Charge Platform. Built a Python-based automation tool to manage role renewals across multiple microservices, replacing manual processes with automated Azure DevOps pipelines.
Problem Solved: Automated the tedious manual process of renewing expiring roles in Mercedes' internal systems by creating a dashboard that pulls data from internal databases and sends renewal requests via Mercedes' internal APIs.

Working Student
plus10 GmbH, Stuttgart
Automating factory PLC project integration into plus10's SaaS platform. Every client (beer producers, medical device manufacturers, etc.) has different PLCs and configurations - my job is to create Python scripts that can handle this diversity.
Key Challenge: The main challenge is that "everything is different all the time" - no single script can handle all scenarios, but the goal is to automate as much as possible to accelerate client onboarding and enhance configuration capabilities.

Master Thesis Student
IKR, University of Stuttgart
Bridging the MINDFul Intent-Based Networking (IBN) framework with TeraFlowSDN controller using Julia. Breaking down high-level network intents (e.g., "connect NY with London at 10Gbps") into actionable lower-level intents for SDN devices.
Technical Challenge: Developed Julia-based HTTP APIs using Oxygen.jl, handled Protobuf schemas, and created OpenConfig-compatible mappings for seamless device configuration.
